In a rare game away from the Carroll Athletic field the Tigers were able to earn their second win of the week.

The Tigers were able to down Atlantic 1-0 in overtime over Atlantic.

Both teams pushed each other through 80 minutes of close chances, and heartbreaking near misses on both sides of the pitch at the Carroll Soccer Complex. The Tigers were playing north of town because of a track meet taking place at the Carroll Athletic field.

Throughout the regulation time Carroll was bailed out by senior goal keeper, Jang Jioklow who was able to stop seven shots that worked their way to him. Sophomore Treyton Goins added three saves for the Tigers.

In the first 10-minute overtime period Carroll had kicked the ball deep into Atlantic's territory. A high-bouncing ball leapt over the heads of two Atlantic defenders, and rolled perfectly to the foot of senior Zach Shook. Shook had out raced the rest of the Atlantic defense and then was able to bump the rolling ball into the back of the net, past an absent Atlantic goal keeper, who had been mesmerized by the bouncing ball.

After the ball rolled into the back of the net Shook was joined by a mob of his teammates. Not only was Shook's goal a game-winner, it was also his first career goal for the Tigers.

Carroll moves to 4-3 overall with the victory. They will take on Kuemper Catholic (1-3) on Monday night at the Carroll Athletic field.
