Carroll residents will have the opportunity Wednesday to pose questions to candidates hoping to represent them in public office.

The Carroll Chamber of Commerce will host a candidate forum from at 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Carroll High School auditorium. Candidates running for mayor and City Council have been invited to attend.

They include Eric Jensen, running unopposed for a second term as mayor; Jerry Fleshner, running unopposed for his second at-large council seat; Michael Kots, running unopposed for his second full term as the city’s Ward 1 council member after being appointed in 2009 and elected in 2012 and 2013; Clay Haley, running for a second term as the Ward 3 council member; and Jean Ludwig, running for the first time for Ward 3.

The forum will be hosted by the Chamber’s legislative committee and moderated by Trish Roberts.

The candidates will provide opening and closing statements at the forum and will answer audience questions, which can be submitted before or during the forum by calling or texting 712-790-3584.
