A 60-year-old Carroll woman was cited for having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle Thursday after another woman allegedly caused a three-vehicle crash.

Cynthia Hahn was allegedly drinking a can of Coors Light and was a passenger in a westbound car on U.S. Highway 30 near Pizza Hut on the east side of Carroll when an eastbound sport utility vehicle driven by Donna Riesberg, 59, of Carroll, failed to yield on a left turn and the vehicles collided about 12:20 p.m., according to Police Chief Brad Burke.

The 35-mph crash pushed the vehicles into a third vehicle driven by Michele Bean, 50, of Anthon, that was stopped on Vine.

Riesberg was cited for failure to yield.

Hahn and the driver of her car, Von Hahn, 57, of Carroll, suffered unspecified injuries and were transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital.
