Two people were injured Wednesday in a crash on U.S. Highway 30 just west of Glidden when a 67-year-old Glidden woman in a car attempted a left turn into the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery and was struck by an oncoming minivan, according to a sheriff’s crash report.

Barbara Jane Bunnell was cited for failure to yield.

She was eastbound on Highway 30 about 3:35 p.m. when she attempted the turn and was struck on her car’s passenger side by a minivan driven by Larry Allen Folk, 63, of Carroll.

The collision pushed the vehicles off the highway where they came to rest near an entrance to the cemetery.

Bunnell and Folk both complained of pain from the crash and were transported by ambulance to St. Anthony Regional Hospital.

Bunnell’s 2008 Cadillac DTC and Folk’s 2002 Chrysler Town and Country were damaged beyond repair, the report said.
