Mount Carmel will host its its sesquicentennial festivities this weekend.

To celebrate 150 years, the community will hold the following activities.

Saturday:

12 p.m.: Beer garden

1:30 p.m.: Parade ("Iowa Nice Guy" Scott Siepker of Mount Carmel will serve as emcee)

3 p.m.: ATV/UTV pull

3-9 p.m.: Inflatables

3-9 p.m.: Museum in parish hall filled with Mt. Carmel history

3-9 p.m.: Gift shop

4 p.m.: Bingo

4-7 p.m.: Entertainment from DJ Jeff Heinrich

4:30 p.m.: Adult games

4:30 p.m.: Fireman water fights

6 p.m.: Kids' pedal pull

8-11 p.m.: Entertainment from 2 1/2 Guitars

Cake walk, kids' games, fancy work and a walking tour begin after the parade.

Sunday:

12 p.m.: Beer garden

10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Car and tractor show

10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: Traveling historical bus

10:30 p.m.: Mass

12 p.m.: Homecoming luncheon (free-will donation)

1 p.m.: Auction

2 p.m.: Raffle

Food and refreshments are being provided by the Carroll County Cattlemen.
