MANNING

A large crowd enjoyed a warm summer evening during Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park’s summer Car Cruise-In on “Thirsty Thursday,” July 11.

A rainbow of colors provided the backdrop as about 45 classic cars and trucks, as well as modern “classics,” lined the parking lot of the Hausbarn-Heritage Park’s Konferenz Centre. Visitors to the free event were able to walk down the gleaming rows of cars and trucks, many with hoods up for the engines to be displayed, to take pictures and talk with the owners about their vehicles.

The Roten Bar Tavern was open and bustling, and the courtyard picnic tables were packed with families and friends enjoying the evening’s food offerings, provided by the Deardorff Highland Cattle Food Truck. Kids ran through the crowd playing hide-and-seek and tag, and many played cornhole and ladder golf as the evening went on.

The staff, board and volunteers of the Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park said they were thrilled with the success of the event and look forward to its growth in future years.
