In a few months, stromboli and manicotti will be part of Carroll’s local fare.
The family-owned Napoli’s Italian restaurant chain will open a location in Carroll in the coming months.
The restaurant’s owners are leasing space from Greteman & Associates, just west of Anytime Fitness on the west end of Carroll. Construction is underway at the space, and a large canvas banner, marked with the restaurant’s name and Italy’s flag, promises, “Opening soon!”
The family-friendly restaurant will offer lunches ranging in price from $6.95 to $11.95 and dinners ranging from $9.95 to $17.95. Meals include salad and homemade bread.
The menu will include pizza, calzones, lasagna, pasta, stromboli, manicotti, chicken, veal and seafood dishes and more.
There are Napoli’s locations in Clinton, Newton, Spencer and Marion, although the restaurant originated in Texas and has several locations there as well.
The addition will be good for Carroll, providing additional entertainment for its residents, said Rosanne Nees, business development director with the Carroll Chamber of Commerce.
“The Chamber is always excited about any type of new business,” she said. “Dining out is part of our entertainment, and it’s always fun to have a new place to go.”
The new restaurant will be an additional draw for tourists as well, Nees added.
“This will bring in people from outside,” she said. “People travel to go to a good restaurant.
“It’s something different, and it adds to what we already have — it’s one more reason to come to Carroll.”
