All Strings Attached Orchestra Studio will present its 18th annual patriotic concert, this year titled “An American Salute,” at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Arcadia American Legion Ballroom.

This will be All Strings’ appreciation concert, so it is free to the public.

Leading off the concert will be the Minions and Mentors, who will perform a medley of patriotic tunes, followed by the Carroll Area Junior Symphony, who will perform the “Navy Hymn” and “Fantasy on America.”

The color guard from American Legion Post 694 of Arcadia will process in military fashion prior to the playing of “Star-Spangled Banner” by the Carroll Area Symphony.

The symphony will then perform a portion of its program, opening with the “Valdres March,” followed by a favorite, “American Salute,” based on the tune “When Johnny Comes Marching Home.”

The Carroll Area Wind Symphony will then take the stage with its rendition of “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Recognition of the eighth-grade class, All-State Band and Orchestra participants, and the junior class awards will follow a year in review speech by Director Rebecca Windschitl. Individual senior class awards will round out the awards ceremony.

The concert finale will be performed by the Carroll Area Symphony, which, Windschitl said, will present a rousing rendition of the hymn “Of the Father’s Love Begotten.”
