Carroll’s Culver’s restaurant plans to open at 10 a.m. Monday in its 1-acre location at the northeast end of the Carroll Depot Business Center.

The restaurant’s hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

“Things are going good,” said owner-operator Kevin Reincke. “We’re just excited.”

Reincke said crews painted the lane striping in the parking lot on Thursday. All equipment and signs are ready to go.

Culver’s has hired 51 of the expected 55-person team, with many employees planning on commuting from the area.

“We’ve had some good draw from the neighboring communities,” Reincke said, adding that he has a particularly strong contingent of employees from Glidden.

Carroll will have the nation’s 460th Culver’s. Another Culver’s — in Mission, Kan. — opens as the 461st restaurant in the chain on Monday as well.

Culver’s co-founder and CEO Craig Culver flew in to the Carroll Airport with other company officials aboard the Culver’s Learjet to make the Carroll ground-breaking in May. A ribbon-cutting is planned for the fall.

“I love small-town America,” Culver said. “That’s where I come from.”

He added, “Our business is about people, clearly about people.”

David Steffes, a Carroll native and Cumming resident, is president of GEISAMA Inc., a collection of investors with Carroll ties backing the Culver’s franchise here.

Reincke is a former Carroll police officer who retired from the force at the end of 2011 and has been involved with Culver’s training since. Construction on Culver’s in Carroll started in late March.

“Amy (Reincke’s wife) and I are excited to bring Culver’s to Carroll,” said Reincke.

Culver’s opened in Sauk City, Wis., in 1984 and expanded into a franchising operation in 1987.
