Jason Jackson, 50, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, on the farm surrounded by his family in the home they built.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Lampe Funeral Home, Lake City with burial at the Lake City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lampe Funeral Home.

Jason Roy Jackson was born on May 14, 1969, in Audubon, Iowa, to James and Linda (DeVries) Jackson. He was a 1987 graduate of Lake City High School and later attended Iowa Lakes Community College. Jason married Lory Schaffer on June 26, 2009, at Lake City Union Church, Lake City.

He was a lifetime member of the Top Rail Saddle Club, Lake City, and was employed by The McLaughlin Family Companies in Carroll, Iowa. He enjoyed hunting, roping, road trips and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and his horses.

Jason is survived by his wife, Lory, of Lake City; children Jake (Kate) Schleisman and their children Parker and Brayton of Polk City, Kelli (Jeff) Clampitt and their children Rylee, Grady and Wesley of Carthage, Illinois, and Mallory (Jason) King and their children Alivia, Lane and Brynn of Coon Rapids; mother, Linda Jackson, of Jefferson; brother Jay (Terri) Jackson and their children Treyor, Maya, Thane and Tate of Clarion, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Jackson, and his grandparents.
