Betty was born in Carroll, Iowa, on July 19, 1932, a daughter of Bernard and Caroline (Bushman) Best. She graduated from Glidden High School and attended Concordia Lutheran College in Minnesota. Betty worked at the former County Home, Boomsma Egg Plant and Garst Seed Company. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and quilting at her church. She loved traveling whether by bus or train to visit her Aunt Agnes in Eugene, Oregon. When Agnes’ health declined, Betty moved her back to Glidden and took care of her until she passed away.

Betty is survived by her brother Charles Best of Glidden; her niece Carol Rose (Bob) of Grandview, Missouri; nephews: Stanley Best (Mary) of Glidden, Brian Best (Sharon) of Glidden and Michael Best (Deb) of Onalaska, Wisconsin; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Althea Best; and aunt Agnes Best.
