Volunteers in Sac County cooked and shaped a 9,370-pound popcorn ball on June 18, 2016, to reclaim their title for world's largest. It's the fourth they have created in the past 20 years.

Michael Schenk murder trial verdict: 1/28/15
Michael Schenk, of Denison, was accused of shooting, killing and burning Marvin Huelsing, 80, of Maple River, and Alice Huisenga, 81, of rural Arcadia, on March 10, 2014, near Deloit. A jury found him guilty of all charges 10 months later.
